Barbara Biglia

barbaraBarbara Biglia (PhD in psychology- 2006) is currently Agregada interina  at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili. She is the coordinator of the Interdisciplinary Working Group on Feminist Research Methodology (www.simref.net ) a research/teaching group focused on exploring feminist strategy of knowledge production with the objective of transformating both ‘science’ and ‘society’. She is also member of Gredi research groups (http://www.ub.edu/gredi/ ). She has been travelling and researching in different countries, including at the Cuny Graduate Center (in 2012). Her research topics are in the wider area of feminism, spreading from feminist epistemology and methodology to subjectivities, social transformation and gender violence. She is the Catalan coordinator of the European research GAP Work (http://sites.brunel.ac.uk/gap and www.gapwork.cat). Lately, her activism capacity has unfortunately been drastically reduced by the bizarre dismantlement of the public University, but is curremtly engaged in supporting the work of ‘young’ activist researchers. Many of her publications are available at: http://urv.academia.edu/BarbaraBiglia
