Ilana Mountian

Ilana Mountian is post-doctoral researcher at the Institute of Psychology of the Universidade de Sao Paulo and honorary researcher of the Research Institute for Health and Social Change at Manchester Metropolitan University. She is author of Cultural ecstasies: drugs, gender and social imaginary (2013, Routledge) and has developed critical research in the areas of drugs, gender, sexuality and immigration, combining feminist research, post-colonial studies, discourse analysis and psychoanalysis. Ilana is also a feminist activist involved in anti-racist and drug struggles.
